HERE is an introduction to a concert my teacher gave in Varanasi.
This blog is dedicated to my Guruji (teacher), Faiyaz Ali Khan who lives in Varanasi, U.P. India.
I have been learning Sarangi from him for over 3 years and am trying help him to find eligible and enthusiast students. While he is a master of music, his computer skills are minimal to non-existent.
As such, I have volunteered to create this blog and give him an internet presence so that if anyone would like to learn Sarangi, they can find him here and get the appropriate information to come to Varanasi and learn directly from him.
Faiyaz Ali Khan comes from a very well respected musical family and has been playing the Sarangi since very early in his childhood. He learned from his father and brother and has been teaching for many decades to people from all parts of the world.
His gentle, patient and wise guidance provides a wonderful opportunity to learn at whatever pace one requires.
