Ustad Faiyaz Ali khan comes from a very renowned musical family in Varanasi. His family's musical style is called Miam Tamsen Saimi Gharana. HIs elder brother, Laddan Khan is a respected sarangi player in India. Shri Khan learnt sarangi from his father, the late Jakhan Khan Sahib and his elder brother, Laddan Khan.
Shri Khan is associated with All India Radio (A.I.R.) and Door Darshan of Benares. He has accompanied some of India's top most classical artists as well as given solo performances in A.I.R. and music conferences in different states of India and Varanasi.
